J3 Consulting Helps Government Agencies Improve FITARA Scorecards

J3 Consulting is proud to announce it has added Federal Information Technology Acquisition Reform Act (FITARA) Scorecard Readiness services to its list of service offerings.

Since 2018, J3 has supported agencies with implementing FITARA requirements, as well as advancing the maturity levels of key functional areas contained in the American Council for Technology and Industry Advisory Council (ACT-IAC) IT Management Maturity Model (ITMMM, versions 1 and 2).

As part of continuous improvement and implementation of efficiencies, J3 has developed an automated Microsoft-based tool using common government-owned licenses that centralizes assessment documentation, enabling stakeholders to easily reference and access required information.

“Agencies already have Microsoft, so they don’t have to purchase a dashboard company or own some power package. At a very low cost, we can combine our IP with their current technology to help them improve FITARA scores,” Cipriano said.

J3 implements process improvements to enforce consistent scoring and efficiencies in completing assessments for the FITARA Program, including workflow and procedures for use in completing self-assessments and the ITMMM Verification & Validation process, he continued.

“Our methodology has supported Agency goals for achieving demonstrated maturity across the agency,” Cipriano said.

  • Implementing the requirements of FITARA laws and requirements, including the OMB Memorandum M-145-14 regulations;
