In the spirit of Military Appreciation Month, J3 Consulting is proud to celebrate the service and sacrifice of all military employees. Among them is our Chief Information Officer, Peter Cipriano, who served in the Army’s 854th Engineer Battalion from 1992 to 1998. Cipriano’s dedication to his country and his invaluable experiences in the military have shaped not only his personal life but also his professional career.

During his time in the Army, Cipriano served as a 51 MOS, a role that encompassed plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and the operation of heavy equipment. His unit provided support to the Army Infantry Battalions in training, stationed in Poughkeepsie and Bullville, NY, for six years. His unit was attached to and collaborated with prestigious institutions such as the West Point Military Academy and other local military and government organizations.

“I was compelled to volunteer for the service coming from a family of draftees,” Cipriano reflects. His grandfather served in the Calvary during World War II, while his father was drafted for the infantry during the Vietnam War. Being an Eagle Scout and feeling a strong sense of duty to his country, he was moved to follow in his family’s footsteps by enlisting in the Army.

Cipriano’s military service introduced him to the world of national and international security, igniting a passion that continues to drive his career. Having worked directly with multiple branches of the Department of Defense (DoD) and various intelligence agencies, Cipriano gained firsthand experience in supporting and enhancing the country’s defense capabilities. His work has taken him to installations across the United States, including Hawaii, as well as internationally to South Korea, Japan, and England.

“As we honor Military Appreciation Month, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Peter Cipriano and all military employees,” said J3 CEO Jeannie Jones-Ledford. “Peter’s service in the Army, along with his dedication and expertise, has been invaluable to our organization. His experiences have not only shaped his character but have also enriched our understanding of the importance of national security. We are privileged to have Peter as a member of our team.”

At J3 Consulting, we take great pride in recognizing the contributions and sacrifices of our military employees. Cipriano’s service in the Army and his subsequent career in national and international security have made a lasting impact. As we celebrate Military Appreciation Month, let us all express our gratitude and appreciation for the countless men and women who have selflessly served our nation.
