J3 Consulting Celebrates Women’s History Month

March is Women’s History Month, and J3 Consulting, LLC, is celebrating all month long.

“By recognizing the contributions of women and empowering them to lead and succeed, we create a more inclusive an innovative environment that benefits everyone,” said J3’s President, CEO, and Founder Jeannie Jones-Ledford. “Let us continue to honor and support women as we work towards a more equitable future.”

Jones-Ledford is the woman behind J3, a certified SBA 8(a), HUBZone, Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned Small Business (EDWOSB). As a leader with more than 25 years of experience in the federal government contracting industry, Jones-Ledford works hard to foster an inclusive, diverse team that includes accomplished women in leadership roles.

“Jeannie fosters an environment where women like myself feel heard and seen,” said Breona Russell, J3 Senior Human Resources Manager. “At J3, I feel like someone is truly invested in my career path and cares about my contribution. Jeannie is an amazing leader and inspiration to my personal and professional growth. I am proud to be a part of J3, a company where women can learn, believe in their career, and have the opportunity to make a difference.”

Jones-Ledford built J3 Consulting on her extensive experience creating successful solutions for federal government agencies and commercial industries. Under her leadership, J3 offers these organizations highly respected support services in the areas of Project Management, Information Technology, Program Management, Change Management, and Training.

As an executive, Jones-Ledford is a leader, partner, and a coach to the leadership team, instilling the company’s core values, such as Integrity, Diligence, Reliability, Compassion, and Accountability.

She created the company’s motto “Plan the Work…Work the Plan” because she strongly believes that out-of-the box and forward thinking, innovation, dedication, and hard work yields accomplishment and success. This work ethic is what has made her a reputable entrepreneur over the years and what makes her a leader destined to accomplish her mission and vision to be the top Contractor of Choice when government and private companies need quality and results.

Jones-Ledford is actively involved in Women Impacting Public Policy (WIPP), a national nonpartisan organization advocating on behalf of women entrepreneurs—strengthening their impact on public policy, creating economic opportunities, and forging alliances with other business organizations.

Additionally, she received the USDA Research, Education, and Economics (REE) Small Business of the Year award.

Throughout her career, Jones-Ledford has obtained various certificates of knowledge, showing her zest for pursuing continuous education and staying abreast of current disciplines in her field of work.

Government agencies are often encouraged to work with EDWOSBs for a number of reasons. First, doing so promotes diversity and inclusivity in the workforce. Women-owned businesses are often underrepresented in government contracting, and working with an EDWOSB can help to promote equal opportunities for all businesses. Additionally, working with an EDWOSB can help government agencies meet their small business contracting goals, as a portion of federal contracts are set aside specifically for small businesses.

Working with an EDWOSB like J3 Consulting also comes with numerous benefits. As a small business, J3 Consulting is agile and able to respond quickly to changes in government contracting. With Jones-Ledford at the helm, J3 Consulting has established a reputation for delivering high-quality services and solutions to its clients. Furthermore, working with a small business like J3 Consulting allows government agencies to establish a closer working relationship with their contractors. This can lead to more efficient and effective communication, which can ultimately result in better outcomes for all parties involved.

At J3 Consulting, celebrating Women’s History Month is more than just a recognition of the contributions that women have made throughout history. It is also a celebration of the women who are making history today. Jeannie Jones-Ledford and the team at J3 Consulting are committed to promoting diversity, inclusivity, and equal opportunities in the government contracting industry. As an EDWOSB, J3 Consulting is proud to be a part of this effort, and looks forward to continuing to provide top-quality services to its clients for years to come.
